Irresistible Potato Cheese Pierogi (Perogies) Recipe

Ingredients
    For the Dough:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • For the Filling:
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (about 3 medium potatoes, peeled and boiled)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped and sautéed
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For Cooking:
  • Butter for sautéing
  • Optional garnish: sour cream, parsley, or chives
