Homemade McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 white fish fillets (cod, haddock, or pollock)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 2 hamburger buns
  • ¼ cup tartar sauce
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
