½cup butter (113g)
1cup granulated sugar (200g)
2large eggs
1teaspoon vanilla extract
½cup unsweetened cocoa powder (50g)
½cup all-purpose flour (65g)
¼teaspoon baking powder
¼teaspoon salt
4Mars bars, chopped (reserve some pieces for topping)
Extra chopped Mars bars for topping (optional)
Drizzle of melted chocolate or caramel sauce (optional)
¼ cup chopped nuts (optional, for crunch)

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) square pan.

Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl and let it cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

Sift in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold until just combined—do not overmix.
